This Past Week I have been rereading "The Great Sacrilege" by Fr James Wathen.  A better book about the Abomination of Desolation- aka the "Novus Ordo Missae" has yet to be written.  More hard hitting than Michael Davies and too much for even the Neo-SSPX, this book pulls no punches and will have the reader fleeing even the "Unicorn Masses".  But the discerning reader will see that even Fr Wathen falls short at times.  On page 113, Fr Wathen is discussing the deletion of the words "Mysterium Fidei" from the Consecration of the Wine and in support of his thesis quotes the following monitum from the Holy Office dated July 24th, 1958:

"This Supreme Sacred Congregation has learned that in a certain Translation of the New Order of Holy Week into the Vernacular, the words "mysterium fidei" in the form of the consecration of the Chalice are omitted.  It is also reported that some priests omit these words in the very celebration of Mass.

"Therefore this Supreme Congregation gives warning that it is impious (nefas) to introduce a change in so sacred a matter and to mutilate or alter editions of liturgical books (cf Canon 1399 Article 10).

"Bishops, therefore, in accordance with this warning of the Holy Office should see to it that the prescriptions of the sacred canons on divine worship be strictly observed, and they should be closely watchful that no one dare to introduce even the slightest change in the matter and form of the sacraments."

That is a good start, Holy Office.  But seriously, your warning should have have transcended the merely legal and rather been ontological.  The following would have been much better:

"This Supreme Congregation has, sadly, learned that in certain translations of the "New Order of Holy Week" the words "Mysterium Fidei" have been expunged from the Consecration for the wine, and, what is worse, certain priests are omitting these words when they recite the Sacred Canon.

"This Sacred Congregation warns that Holy Mother Church is not equipped to discern the validity of these Masses, and that the Church cannot supply for those who maliciously and willfully mutilate the Sacred Canon, in the process committing a most grave sacrilege.  Consequently, these priests are depriving their flocks of Sanctifying Grace and leading Souls into Mortal Sin.

"Ordinaries [Bishops] who become aware of such priests are to immediately depose them, declare them notorious, warn the faithful to have nothing to do with them, and refer their cases to this Supreme Congregation.

"This Supreme Sacred Congregation further warns the Faithful that knowing participation in such liturgies is a grievous sacrilege and that pernicious and continuing attendance at such liturgies is grounds for excommunication Ipso Facto.

"All reproductions of the 'New Order of Holy Week' not coming directly from sources authorized by this Congregation are to be confiscated immediately by the bishops or surrendered by the faithful.  Any Church harboring such copies is in violation of Canon Law, and the Will of this Congregation.  No Exceptions will be permitted or tolerated.

Of course, anybody paying attention would have questioned whether "The New New Order of Holy Week" was not fodder for the "Reformers" and should have been rescinded immediately post haste. 

Even Fr Wathen, this Wolf fears, could not have imagined the "Pontificate" of Pope Frantic in his wildest wooley fantasies.  

Yes, this Wolf is aware that Donald Q Chump got indicted for littering and jaywalking, and that the follies of the Vatican continue.  And this Wolf has no idea what Michael Matt is so optimistic about.

The great malady that is sweeping Clown Planet is that everybody seems to think Almighty God is such a chummy sugardaddy and would never send all those bad people to Eternal Damnation. Have yourself a good hot fire so that you can get a taste of what Hell will be like. Our Lady of Fatima showed the Children Hell for a reason. It most definitely exists.

Do Penance, or you will likewise perish. Take the Faith seriously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pray always. (Anything less is a waste of time- your most precious asset.)

Various Nations are about to be annihilated, with the USA at the top of the list.

Paybacks are Hell.
