Yesterday, this Wolf had a very interesting interview with Dr Deep State, which, judging from the spate of new subscriptions to his substack, must have been viewed with interest by dozens of people. For the benefit of the newbies, this Wolf will restate his sole intention to be an Apostle of Our Lady of Fatima. Unlike others out there, he is not going to pimp the "Crisis" in the Church for Likes, Subscribes, Shares, or other notoriety to feed a narcissistic monster, let alone filthy lucre. He will never hide behind a paywall, nor is he going to do shoutouts to garner the attention of some of the big names in the Trad Blogosphere. Like a good umpire, he is going to call them as he sees them, and the consequences can just be damned.
For the most part, this Wolf pays no attention to the news cycle. He knows that everything from The Trumpenstein Project to the Outgoing Biden Show to Hurricane Helene to the latest California "Wildfires" is entirely fake and ghey. To what extent the HAARP/Chemtrail Boyz are controlling the weather, what percentage of the Bishops are Satanic- let alone Pederasts, and how real the ongoing damage is from the Quaccines is not the primary concern. If one is looking for a blow-by-blow account of the current theatre of the Fake and Ghey, they have come to the wrong place. Instead, this Wolf flies at the 30,000 view, so he can survey the overall landscape and look for small patches of sanity in a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
This Wolf did not just fall off the proverbial turnip truck. A cradle Catholic, he has been witness to the insanity and inanity for a long time, from the perspective of eschatology, the Pro-Life Movement, a college community, a decade deep in the belly of the SSPX beast, and a decade spent in the Great Search for a sane Catholic Community not infested with the mediocre, the fanatic, or the Bogus Ordo Hippie Spirituality.
Only within the last fifteen years or so has this Wolf begun to realize that, along with the Deep State, there is a Deep Church. And the two are joined at the hip. Like the Deep State, the Deep Church has layers of operatives. Just as the Deep State has its Bill Clintons, Ron Pauls, and Alex Jones, so the Deep Church has its Cardinal Bernardines, Bishop Fulton Sheens, and Archbishop Marcel Lefebrves. From left to right and every shade in between, they have a narrative. Any narrative, that is, but the Gospel Truth. So, without further ado, let's survey some of the shills throughout the years. Some of them may have been malicious, others merely useful idiots. As for ultimate culpability and redemption, that will have to wait for Judgment Day.
Dr Malachi Martin...
Malachi Martin is best known for his books Windswept House, The Jesuits, and The Final Conclave. But Mr Father Martin wrote two other books he never apologized for: "Jesus Now", parts of which would make Teilhard de Chardin blush, and "King of Kings", which suggests that King David and his Friend Jonathon might have been "lovers". While the debate as to whether he was the shadowy character "Michael Seraphim" continues, what is beyond debate is the spicy, but ultimately distorted content of his novels, which he liked to dub "Faction". As a consequence, from Mr Father Martin we have innuendo and speculation couched in seedy novels that have plausible deniability while toying with deep truth. And all of that, apparently, for fun and profit. In the 1980's, apparently realizing that the avant garde liberal church was in "auto-demolition", Mr Fr Martin recast himself as a "conservative" with the debut of "The Jesuits", especially, it seems, after gaining the acquaintance of Michael Davies, with which he did several shows on "The Firing Line" with David Brinky. (A much earlier episode has him discussing "The Jesus Movement" in his liberal days.) Traditionalists know Mr Fr Martin best for his sensational series of interviews with Art Bell, where he mixes his speculation on the Third Secret of Fatima with the Vatican Telescope and Satanic Prelates. If the landskeeper at his family estate is to be believed, several women whom he had "affairs" with have been looking for him, evidently seeking support for his bastard children. Well, at least he was not a pederast.
Archbishop Fulton Sheen...
It is unclear exactly what Archbishop Fulton Sheen studied while attending Spalding Institute in Peoria, St Viator College in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and Saint Paul Seminary in St Paul Minnesota from 1909 to 1919. A clue might be garnered from his doctoral thesis while at Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium: ""The Spirit of Contemporary Philosophy and the Finite God" Equally unclear was what he was reading while a Professor at Catholic University in Washington. At any rate, he was definitely a fan of Teilhard De Chardin: "“It is very likely that within 50 years when all the trivial, verbose disputes about the meaning of Teilhard's ‘unfortunate’ vocabulary will have died away or have taken a secondary place, Teilhard will appear like John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila, as the spiritual genius of the twentieth century.” This quote is hardly a blip on the radar. Multiple troublesome quotes could be pulled from "Characters of the Passion" and "Footprints in a Darkened Forest". Truth be told, Archbishop Sheen's "Traditionalism" seems more like a facade than genuine.
Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre...
The Bearded One had notable liberal tendencies while in Afrika, and never criticized any of the reforms of Pius XII, nor his unorthodoxy, or even hinted at the troubles brewing in the Vatican just under the surface during that tumultuous decade of the 1950's. He also seemed so 19th Century, writing profusely of the Sacred Heart but with very little to say about the Immaculate Heart. More than anybody else, he laid the entire blame for the troubles following Vatican II on the Council, and his solution of "undoing Vatican II" was to become the prime Modus Operandi of his movement, the SSPX. The Nine Priests who dramatically defected from the SSPX in the late '80's give a much different account of the life of Archbishop Lefebvre following the council than the party line of the SSPX, even going so far as to claim he ordained priests in the "New Rite".
At any rate, many of the things the SSPX was saying in the 1990's were inaccurate. They were not giving us the whole picture. Archbishop Lefebvre and the SSPX acted as though all was wonderful in the church before Vatican II. They have even defended the liturgical anarchy of Pius XII, and also act as though all those Piuses were saintly. Nothing could be further from the truth, as even some cursory research concerning the Great Architect of the Novus Ordo Missae, Archbishop Anibale Bugnini, will reveal.
He founded the world's finest Catholic Disinfo Organization, with inaccurate portrayals of Fr Leonard Feeney, numerous other frontier traditional priests, Americanism, Sedevacantism, and many other topics. Their priests are more ultramontane than French Jesuits, more controversial than NFL referee calls, and more secretive than the CIA. They love to foment dissention and disunity all the while protesting to the contrary. And they have incubated the sort of poor creatures that resort to the umbrella of Tradrecovery where they will end even more confused, or simply lobotomized Conciliar Catholics.
Veronica Lueken,
Catholics, especially those immersed in the Fever Swamps of Apparition Mania, have a penchant for the Galactically Stupid. Despite having multiple prophecies NOT come to pass, such as that of June 18th, 1988: “Do not be affrighted, My child; you must see this, for it is important. Within this century this Ball will be sent upon mankind… It is almost too late… a Ball that is fast hurtling towards earth! It will be here within this century, if not sooner.” Now, okay, people might argue when "this century" began. Well, consider this next one, from the same day: “Within two years or less, there will be a great crash of the market. The whole world’s monetary systems will be paralysed." Yet despite failed prophecies, occult overtones, observations of Mrs Lueken coming to her apparition sites in a limousine, Episcopal Condemnations, and splendid inconsistencies, a line of cars over a mile long drove over sixty miles from her funeral mass to the graveyard. The "Apparitions of Bayside" attracted thousands, continuing through the 1970's. Her Pamphlets, "Roses" were widely read even in Conservative Novus Ordo circles, including this Wolf's Mother, who was desperately searching for solutions as to why her Parish was going batshit mad.
Fr Stefano Gobbi
On 13 October 1972, on the 55th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima, Fr Gobbi and two other priests formed the Marian Movement of Priests in a church in Gera Lario near Como, Italy, in response to a "locution" he claimed to have received from Our Lady at Fatima on May 8th of that same year. By the 1980's, books of compiled "locutions", second only to Medjugorje in terms of sheer volume, were selling in the tens of thousands. A publishing empire had been born. Taking his cue from Malachi Martin's "Keys to this Blood", "Our Lady" portrayed Pope JP2 as her faithful son playing 5D Chess in a world dominated by the Antichrist forces of Gorbachev. Despite the fact that on June 29th, 1988, Fr Gobbi received a locution where Our Lady explained that Pope JP2 was weeping over a "painful schism occasioned by arbitrary consecrations of bishops" (How many bishops besides Archbishop Lefenvre were performing "arbitrary consecrations" of bishops on that day?), many SSPX' rs swear by Fr Gobbi. This is but another exampe of how undiscerning many of these people are.
Fr Paul Marx...
Founder of the gargantuan "Human Life International", Fr Marx's main apostolate was promoting Natural Family Banning under the cover of marital fidelity and as an answer to both abortion and artificial birth control. He was a disciple of a fellow Benedictine Monk who had died in 1939, Virgil Michel, who became infected with the "Liturgical Movement" of Dom Beauduin (if one has not heard of this, some research is in the offing...) In 1933, Virgil began to work on major liturgical "reforms" which included liturgy in the vernacular, evening mass, new postures at Mass, architectural changes in the churches, and lay participation in the prayers of the Divine Office. He continued to encourage women to participate in worship and to “take on positions of lay leadership since they shared, as members of the Savior’s body, in the same priesthood as lay men”. This strange brew of fervent pro-life political activism and Liturgical Liberalism shaped the publications of Human Life International, which was pretty much operating after 1972 but only formally incorporated in 1981. Fr Marx, to his credit, energetically denounced clerical scandals and abuses and corruption wherever he saw it. However, he confused Conciliar Catholics concerning the papacy and Vatican II, often calling the Council, in so many words "The Great Call to Renewal". Fr Paul Marx was a titan of the Conciliar Church until his death. Ronald Reagan wrote to him "You can be proud of all you’ve done to summon this nation and others to reflection and positive action on issues affecting the sanctity of human life. God bless you.
Fr Bruce Ritter...
This Wolf actually attended a conference by Fr Ritter in 1979. He had long been known as the founder of "Covenant House", a homeless shelter for Homeless Teenagers being used as Prostitutes by the low level "Johns" of lower Manhattan. The organization was rehabilitating thousands of young people, expanding with satellites in other major cities, and conducting fundraising campaigns in the tens of millions- real money back in the 1980's. He stood beside George and Barbie Bush at the 1988 inauguration, and was world famous by the time of his fall from grace in 1990, when three credible accusations of abuse quickly succeeded each other that long winter. His was the first spectacular downfall of the Lavender Mafia.
Fr John Corapi...
Following a stint in the army where he worked as a lowly typist from 1967 to 1970, John Coropi studied accounting and subsequently worked for a firm in Las Vegas. He eventually became a Real Estate Tycoon in Los Angeles, but then lost everything following a cocaine addiction, and allegedly wandered the streets of California homeless for three years. Then he returned to New York and went to seminary. On Trinity Sunday, May 26, 1991, Pope John Paul II ordained Fr Corapi to the priesthood. He would go on to recount his sensational biography as an Icon on the EWTN lecture circuit. In 2011 he was accused of "sexual misconduct" and a narcotics addiction. He was to be recused pending an investigation, but then decided to leave the priesthood and become "The Black Sheepdog". He then slowly faded from the limelight, and nary is known about him today.
These are just some of the operatives that have worked over the years to confuse Catholics, both within the Traditional Movement and without. They are the Deep Church components of what Dr Deep State calls, "The Spectacle".
I heard your interview on Dr. Deepstate and I was wondering what Mass do you attend?
Thanks for your visit to Dr. Deep State. I like what I heard. I am interested in your background, research and sensus fidei applied to our Catholic history/current events. No judgment yet, I am in the data collection (discernment) process. Thank you for your ministry to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
