All The Usual Suspects Are At It Again

Will dispose of Michael Matt's video in just a few sentences.  From somewhere in the Wild West, while allegedly on vacation (What was the recent trip to France?  Business travel?)  Michael discusses his interview concerning the Vendee.  Somewhere, he mentions that Marie Antoinette, before her execution, refused absolution from a "Juring" Priest who had signed an oath in favor of the Revolution.  (An attitude somewhat different from Colonel Moscardo and the defenders of the Al Kazar, for those who want to discern.)  Just some minutes before, Mr Matt had talked in glowing terms about how the Lamestream Media had the cameras rolling for the whole "Traditional Mass" offered by Cardinal Gerhard Müller.  Huh?  

Many people, tragically, will fail to see the epic disconnect here.  Now, while Marie Antoinette is certainly far from a "Most Catholic Queen" in this Wolf's eyes, on the other hand, the famous retort she had, allegedly penned by Benjamin Franklin, Revolutionary and Pederast (would you wish to join me in the Pursuit of Happiness?) "Let Them Eat Cake", is most likely pure fiction.  All that notwithstanding, her rebuke of the pusillanimous "Juring Priest" is laudable.  And here we have Cardinal Gerhard Müller, unabashed representative of the Seat of the Antichrist and the Abomination of Desolation, offering the Traditional Mass, and we are supposed to jump for joy?  Now, this Wolf is not going to suggest that the thousands who thronged to Carindal Müller's Mass are hopelessly deluded; God alone knows the state of their Faith and Souls.  But he is definitely going to rain on Michael Matt's parade.  These souls are for a grand and rude awakening, when the proverbial hammer drops.  Michael Matt discusses Cardinal Sean O’Malley's exhortation to the Vatican to "do something" about artist Father Marko Rupnik.  Well, Michael, this is just more "virtue signalling" from the Sons of Perdition.  Yes, it is open season on Fr Rupnik.  We are allowed to lob our Molotov Cocktails at him, the latest poster child of the Conservative Catholic Sheeple Shooting Gallery.  We can lambast Fr Rupnik and raise our bar on the Conservative Orthodoxy graph.  Of course, we must not expect these White Hats, Müller and O'Malley, to go off the reservation, and suggest there were irregularities with Pope Benedict's "resignation", or the legitimacy of Pope Frantic.  Nah, that is just going to cause needless division.  Oh, and Michael...  Our Lady of Fatima... Who?  Remnant TV seems now to have five or so consecutive videos where this Wolf does not even recall hearing her mentioned.  Their devotion to the Immaculate Heart moves him to tears.

Meanwhile, we move on to the Dog and Pony Show of the Week.  "VATICAN CITY (RNS) — An outspoken critic of Pope Francis, the Auxiliary Bishop Athanasius Schneider of Astana, Kazakhstan, said that while Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò’s public opposition of the pope 'is irreverent and disrespectful,' the Vatican should think twice before excommunicating him.  'I think the pope would be wise and prudent if he were to not excommunicate Archbishop Viganò,' Schneider told Religion News Service in an interview on Monday (June 24), adding that, 'with this act, the Holy See will increase divisions even more.'"

We will allow Religious News Service to round out the list of the usual suspects: "While the pope has welcomed dialogue, and even criticism, from his opponents, he has recently cracked down on conservative pundits, including Viganò. Last year, Francis asked that the de-facto leader of the conservative faction in the church, Cardinal Raymond Burke, leave his Vatican apartments, and he removed outspoken papal critic Bishop Joseph Strickland from his diocese in Tyler, Texas."

This Wolf has long contended that Vigano, Schneider, Burke, and Strickland are the Four Lead Actors- as opposed to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse- in the ongoing saga of distraction and division designed to keep men (and women) of Good Heart from learning the simple truth:  Rome has become the Seat of the Antichrist, the House of Every Unclean Bird, and a Nest of Pustulence, and the faithful should flee its abominations, particularly its "New Mass", the Abomination of Desolation.

Let us just review Archbishop Carlo Marie Vigano very tersely.  In 2018 he came out denouncing Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick after his exposure as a most vile predator.  Then he quickly fixated on Donald Q Chump as the savior, going so far as to call him the "Katechon".  Then he eulogized Russia as the "Third Rome" and Vlad Putin was going to save us all.  With all of this buffoonery behind him, he then discussed- quite correctly- how Pope Frantic is noxious heretic.  Then, for good measure, rumors circulated that he had been conditionally reconsecrated- perhaps reordained- by Bishop Richard Williamson.

The fact that the Vatican of Pope Frantic would even give this man the proverbial Time of Day is quite telling.  If ever one needed to be convinced that the news cycle has decayed to a Cosmic Clown Show hardly worth commenting upon, the proof should be right here.

Meanwhile, "Traditional Catholics" are quivering in their boots that Pope Frantic is going to overturn Ecclesia Dei, and ban the "Latin Mass" once and for all, al a Paul VI.  Michael Matt tells us not to jump the proverbial shark, and let "our good and holy priests" sort things out, diplomatic style.

No, what Traditional Catholics should be quivering in their boots about is that God is apparently at long last exhausting His Divine Patience, and that the Rod of Justice is about to strike.  The Hounds of War are baying.  The Wolf is at the Door.  And the Four Horsemen have appeared.  Soon Michael Matt, you will have no gas for your van, no water from the tap, and no food at the convenience store.   Soon the Prophecy of Fatima will ring true: God is going to Punish the World through war, famine, and "persecutions of the Holy Father".

At least Michael Matt sees no solution in politics.  Deo Gratias.
