Cardinal Burke and Father Ripperburger- Birdbrains and Hanging Chads.

Our Lady of Fatima... Who?

Every once in a while, this Wolf listens to something just to keep somewhat abreast of the Cosmic Clown Show.  Recently, he chanced upon a question and answer session at the Call to Holiness Conference 2023.  The Moderator thinks he is pitching hardball at the question and answer session.  What a laugh.

First question for Cardinal Burke: "What is a Catholic's Obligation in Following and Obeying 'Pope Francis'"?

"Well of Course Francis is the Pope.  Next question."  But more seriously, Cardinal Burke is going to make a distinction between "Francis the Pope" and "Francis the man".  Obviously, when Frantic is exercising his Infallibility Superpower, he is to be obeyed as a rule of Faith.  But when he is spouting comments to reporters on a plane, he can be safely ignored.  By the same token, I suppose Major League Batters have to distinguish between the Pitcher as Professional Baseball Player and the Pitcher as Stan the Pizza Eater, and judge each pitch accordingly. 

The next question is for Fr Ripperburger and concerns Harry Potter.  Fr Ripperburger is going to make a distinction between the official findings on Harry Potter and his own opinion.  But the real question here is, why would any Catholic want to touch Harry Potter with a Ten Foot Pole.  This Mess of Satanic Pottage is self-evident.

Next question for Cardinal Burke: "Could you please comment on the Current Synod..."

Cardinal Burke calls it a process without substance.  A synod on synodality is nonsense; he explains.  Then he calls upon the Faithful to ask the Blessed Mother to protect Her Children from the "Church".  Got it.

Cardinal Burke then is asked about the Knights of Columbus, and he gives a hearty endorsement of the organization.  Now, this Wolf has his problems with the Knights.  First off, everybody loves the Knights.  They often have impressive ceremonials at liturgical functions, especially in processions of the Blessed Sacrament.  And undoubtedly many well-meaning and chivalrous men are Knights.  But Louie Verrecchio over at his site recently had a very introspective article about corruption of the Knights in high places that should concern Cardinal Burke.  At this point, pretending that the year is still 1950 and the Supreme Pontiff is happily reigning is wearing pretty darned thin.

Cardinal Burke then is asked how family members should deal with the Resident Sodomite, ake, the person with "Homosexual Inclinations".  Here Cardinal Burke overdoses on accomodation, saying that the family members should be "patient and caring".   No, Cardinal, wrong answer.  First off, "Homosexuality" is not a genetic disorder, nor a physical disease, or even a mental disease.  This Wolf would suggest that "homosexual inclinations" are the result of a "lifestyle" that is indulgent, neglects discipline and prayer,  and has contempt for the Spirit of the Cross.  The following is how this Wolf believes the typical parent should say to their wayward son or daughter: "So, you have made the decision to shack up with Susie?  Well, then know that I will pray for your repentance, but until then, you are no longer welcome in this house, and I will instruct your brothers and sisters to shun you, lest they share your fate.  No obstinate, public sinner is welcome at my table, or in my hearth, or among my peers.  So far as I am concerned, you are dead, and shall be treated as such until you inform me you have gone to confession and been reconciled to Our Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Mother Church.  Now, goodbye, and may God chastise you."  And one of the reasons, Cardinal Burke, why our church and society are in such a sorry state is the vast majority of parents and pastors would rather "accommodate" public sinners while hoping against hope they have some sort of "conversion".  No, your eminence, in the course of the dialog it is you who are going to be converted to their crocodile tears and bleatings for "understanding".

A few questions later, Cardinal Burke is asking how a Catholic can advocate for Our Lady to be declared "Co-Redemptrix."  Here, we have an insight into the Cardinals Muddled Mariology.  First off, Cardinal Burke, before you propose we be devoted to Our Lady, you might state precisely what we are devoted to.  Our Lady is Co-Redemptrix for three reasons.  The first is by virtue of her Fiat to the Archangel Gabriel, where she agreed to be the Mother of God.  The second is by the Infinite Immersion, by way of her Seven Dolors, in the Passion of her Son.  And the third was the absolute necessity she be there in the Cenacle to call down the Holy Ghost at Pentecost.  Had Our Lady been absent, the prayer of the Apostles would have been in vain, and Holy Mother Church would have been stillborn.  Contrary to what Protestants teach, Our Lady is NOT optional.  She is absolutely indispensable to our salvation.  If any Protestant makes it to Heaven, he will be profusely thanking Our Lady for all eternity for her role in giving birth to his eternal life through the most agonizing spasms of pain, as a mother in labor, for that is exactly how Our Lady saves us.  In her is, please God, realized the curse placed upon Eve: "I will multiply Thy Conceptions".  Our Lady painlessly conceived God Incarnate.  Not so the Eternal Life of each Poor Sinner.  Meanwhile, after a minute of blather, Cardinal Burke says we should "imitate Our Lady, and be a 'co-redeemer' of souls through our 'apostolate'"  A better example of the trite, anti-ontological, and confusing babble that absolutely saturates the Conciliar Church could hardly be cited.

Cardinal Burke is next asked about what a person should do when his company is hiring "homosexual" people.  The Cardinal starts out by saying that, well, since we have "Freedom of Religion", nothing essentially can be done.  But of course we should protest such a turn of events.  Hey, Cardinal Burke, how about we head for the hills?  How about we flee the New Sodom?  How about saying that any price is worth paying when it concerns the salvation of our eternal souls.  How about suggesting for a practical meditation walking into a Walmart or Price Chopper and seeing every item as having been spattered with the blood of aborted babies, or children recently bombed in Gaza, or a homeless man dead of a drug overdose, or a victim recently offered in a Satanic "sacrifice"?  How about we stop kidding ourselves that the ever fragmenting veneer of what is left of Christian Civilization is going to hold for any length of time?

Earlier in the conference, Fr Ripperburger gave a talk on Holiness, an hour of babble in which he not so much as mentioned Our Lady of Fatima.  This Wolf thinks he could outdo the Hanging Chad in just five minutes.   Just talk about Sts Francesco and Jacinta of Fatima, two country clodhoppers who could not even read.  One wanted to console the Heart of Jesus; the other prayed fervently for Poor Sinners.  They did not need courses on the Active Purgation and the illuminative Way.  And all we really need to do to be Holy is pray the Most Holy Rosary devotedly, be an Apostle for Fatima, and loathe the New Sodom.  The Providence of God will assuredly take care of the rest.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.  You are our only hope!
