Bishop Strickland- Just Another Road Show
The March of the Clowns Continues
Having just listened to the Address Bishop Strickland gave to the Assembly of the National Bishops conference in Baltimore a few days ago (writing this on Tuesday, 21 Nov 2023), this Wolf is forced to the conclusion that Bishop Strickland is either a complete buffoon or just acting. (Take your choice.) He brings up the whole McCarrick affair (One supposes that is safe to do now, after almost five years of damage control) and wonders how the Church could have allowed events to come to such a pass. He also mentions Fr James Martin (although not by name, probably on advice from attorneys) and wonders how this man can promote a "lifestyle" that is objectively immoral. Of course, Bishop Strickland is quick to point out that the Poor Sodomites are also God's Children and need our help, Vatican II style. And of course we cannot be a condemning church, but must be a loving and caring church.
Obviously, the "Spirit of Vatican II" has cooked this prelate's brain. Or perhaps being on a regimen of stupid pills is a requirement these days for being elevated to the episcopal state. Irregardless, to watch his Amen Corner continue to trap like trained seals at this tepid performance is nauseating at this point.
Ladies and gentlemen, the reality here is that Bishop Strickland is most likely addressing a majority of unrepentant sodomites sporting miters, who militantly uphold the "dignity" of "gay relationships", and Our Lord Jesus Christ can just be damned. That is the reality. The bishops in Baltimore do not care about their flocks, they do not care about the salvation of souls, and they do not care about eschatology. The only thing that concerns them is keeping up appearances from day to day, while they live jet set lives of gluttony, lust, and indulgence of their other lower appetites and perversions. That is the reality.
Of course, Bishop Strickland is Novus Ordo to the core, and sees nothing wrong with the Abomination of Desolation. He apparently has no clue concerning the dynamics of salvation history, and for all this Wolf knows regards the Creation Story and Noah's Flood as fanciful myths given to teach a lesson. (Undoubtedly, most of those other bishops do. If questioned, the stock reply would be something to the effect that Modern Science has given us profound insights into Cosmology and Paleontology, and Genesis be damned.)
Meanwhile, as an aside, Argentina apparently just had "elected" a Trump Clone Clown. Pity the people of that country that cannot see past the obvious antics of this idiot.
The sheeple continue to march in lockstep, and just like the lemmings, are about to head right over the cliff.
